Gold for Joanne Eccles

In 2010 Team GBR travelled to the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, USA.

Joanne Eccles competed in the Senior Individual female class, where she was placed first, winning the World Senior Individual Female Champion title for the first time. Joanne vaulted on W. H. Bentley and was lunged by John Eccles, they made a formidable team. Joanne was 1st in the World Rankings.

Joanne Eccles’ catsuit for her ‘Candle in the wind’ freestyle was gold with red roses and her technical test was performed on a clown catsuit, but there certainly wasn’t any ‘clowning about’ as Joanne won gold.

Senior Individual Female

Joanne Eccles won first place vaulting on W.H. Bentley, lunged by John Eccles

Lucy Phillips was placed 13th, vaulting on Pitucelli, lunged by Liz Phillips.

Hannah Eccles was placed 16th, vaulting on W.H. Bentley, lunged by John Eccles. Hannah was ranked 6th in the world

Senior Individual Male

Ross Foreman competed in the Senior Individual Male class and was placed 8th.

Senior Squad

EVS competed in the Senior Advanced Team, vaulting on Go For Gold, lunged by Julie Newell. The team were: Sarah Reid, Emma Runge, Sara Shortland, Steph Hunter, Lydia Barham, Paige Brown & Megan Bignell

Senior Individual Female

Hannah Eccles ranked 6th in the World

Joanne and Hannah Eccles were 2nd at the European Championships, vaulting on W.H.Bentley, lunged by John Eccles.
