TEAM GBR 2017
This year British Equestrian Vaulting are sending two squads, three Pas de Deux, six female individuals and three male individuals to represent GB in 2017 at the FEI European Championships for Seniors and the FEI World Championships for Juniors to be held in Ebreichsdorf in Austria.
Squads
Senior Squad

This year EVS will be representing Team GBR in the Senior Squad competition. The theme is a very dramatic Sherlock Holmes. The Senior Squad will be lunged by Julie Newell and will be performed on Demezza, a very handsome 11 year old bay gelding.

The Senior Squad members are: Imogen Bexon, Ricky Davis, Romily Hayton, Katie Hirst, Sara Shortland and Luke Smith


Junior Squad

SSS will be representing Team GBR in the Junior Squad competition. Their freestyle is performed to a captivating Titantic theme . The Junior Squad will be lunged by Rebecca Hewit and the team will vault on Bankey Moon, a beautiful 11 year old bay gelding.

The Junior Squad members are: Emma Counsell, Aimee Gillie, Henry Johnston-Smith, Ally Simmonds, Sophie Thomson and Araminta Younger.


Pas de Deux
Senior PDD

In stunning red catsuits to show off their theme of Love, Hannah Ballantyne and Molly Turner are representing Team GB in the Senior PDD. Vaulting on ILPH Islay, a stunning 22 year old black gelding, with Lynn Ballantyne lunging.

Lisa Mercer and Rebecca Norval were invited to represent Team GB 2017 in the Senior PDD. Hannah Eccles will lunge Tylers Kernel, a very experienced 17 year old bay gelding, for this talented duo.

Junior PDD

Representing the Junior PDD will be Kirstin Henderson and Atholl Pettinger, a well-known duo in British vaulting. They will vault on ILPH Islay, with Liz Mackay lunging. Their theme is ‘Sway’ sung by Michael Buble.

Individuals
Senior Female

Rebecca Norval will also be representing Team GB 2017 as a Senior Female Individual. Vaulting on Tylers Kernel, she will be lunged by Hannah Eccles. Rebecca has won for Team GB at previous Championships as a Junior within the PDD category.

Representing Team GB again in the Senior Female Individual is Lucy Phillips. Lucy has recently teamed up with River of Thyme a handsome chestnut gelding, and will be lunged by Julie Newell. She has competed at Championships since 2002. Ranked 6th in the World in 2016, she is also the English Champion.

Hannah Young has also been selected to represent Team GB again in 2017. This year Hannah will vault on Golden Wonder K, a beautiful 12 year old bay gelding, lunged by Maurits de Vries.
Junior Female Individuals

Kerri Brylka has been selected to represent Team GB as a Junior Female Individual. Kerry will be vaulting on Tylers Kernel and will be lunged by Hannah Eccles.

Emma Counsell will also represent Team GB in the Junior Female Individual category. She will vault on Bankey Moon, and Rebecca Hewit will lunge.

2017 will also see Kirstin Henderson represent Team GB not only in the Junior PDD, but also the Junior Female Individual competition. Kirstin will vault on ILPH Islay and will be lunged by Liz Mackay. Her theme this year is from the 1920’s, the era of the Charleston.
Individuals
Junior Male

Henry Johnstone-Smith is representing Team GB in the Junior Male Individual, but he is no stranger to Championships. Henry is well-known for his vaulting in the Junior team too. He will vault on Mahon Vale, with Stacey MacPherson lunging.

Atholl Pettinger has been selected again to represent Team GB. Atholl has good experience from competing in Championships and will be vaulting on ILPH Islay with Liz Mackay lunging.

Jack Wilson also qualified to represent Team GB at the Championships this year. Jack will vault on Robbie, an experienced 19 year old bay gelding, with Lynn Ballantyne lunging.
